I read on the 'British Trolleybus Scene' Facebook group that 183 was to be scrapped last week. The post read 'Just hearing news that Belfast 183 has been sold to Haymills scrapyard with instructions it must be scrapped. So many useful parts going, plus a quite restorable vehicle. Why do these idiots take on something they are not capable of doing, and then refuse to offer it on ? Another one lost.' What's the background to this and what are the facts?
